We were in Frankfurt visiting Tendence Messe in between 24th and 28th of Aug. Over 2000 exhibitors showed their latest products to their visitors came from all around the world. All sorts of product groups related to Interiors, decoration, gifts and accessories were in the showcase for the coming seasons market. We saw the ethno style is still very hot and trendy. It looks like this tendency will not leave for awhile. The bright colors, patterns and textures of fun ethnic style have been very inspiring in the past season for designers and brands. As we have also included in Muna Home’ s Arts & Knots collection, rugs and kilims made using old yarns, vegetable dyes are in great demand from the market.
Anatolian kilims with the geometrical patterns do have huge influence in the ethnical trends. Their simple yet classic look coordinates well with almost all decoration styles. These kilims spice up the space in great style with their beautiful patterns and colors. We are happy that this look is so much in favor in the market as we have been developing and sourcing major amount of handmade carpets, kilims and rugs from Anatolia.
The market also loved the patchwork, overdyed, vintage kilims so much that the brands still continues to include them into their collection.
The patchwork rugs with lines, triangles and geometrical shapes having seasonal trend colors creates a focal point in most of the stands we visited.
Rich colors such as red still strong in ethnic style by its bright look. It seems like we will see the shades of red and deep burgundy in the market very often this year…
Shades of purple and violet is also a big hit for the new season! Market does not want to give up from the abrasioned vintage and overdyed rugs this year as well!
Weathered carpets continue…
